Shoreline Amphiteatre Rules

This is an all year round venue!
Rain or shine!
Please ensure that you follow the rules for the Shoreline Amphitheatre, to maximize your experience and other patrons attending event and concerts. Please follow official venue rules for the best possible experience and safety of all patrons. While the Shoreline Amphitheatre’s rules are subject to change, they generally follow the same themes for each show.
You’ll also face a long list of rules when attending a show at the amphitheater. Here are several important ones to keep in mind:
» Shows typically take place rain or shine with very few exceptions.
» Gates for shows usually open 60 to 90 minutes before their scheduled start time.
» Tailgating in the venue’s parking lots is not permitted.
» Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the venue.
» Those of all ages may attend shows at the venue. Children two and under are admitted without a ticket.
The Shoreline Amphitheatre has also compiled a list of things guests may and may not bring. Here is what you can bring to a show at the venue:
» Clear tote bags that are made out of plastic or PVC and no larger than 12” x 12” x 6”
» Non-professional cameras
» Signs no larger than 8.5” x 11”
» Small blankets
» Sealed water bottles under 20 ounces or empty refillable plastic water bottles
Bag Policy
There is also a clear bag policy in place. Clear bags up to specific dimensions are allowed into the venue — currently, these size limits are 12” x 6” x 12”. If you bring a non-clear bag, you may have to wait in a further line for additional security checks.
Camera Policy
Personal cameras are allowed in the venue. Flash photography, video and removable lens cameras are not permitted without venue approval.
Children Rules
Any Children ages 35 months & under are admitted charge.
Chair & Blanket Policy
NO chairs are allowed to be brought into the venue – not even low-back chairs. Small blankets are permitted on the lawn area.
Food & Picnic Coolers
NO coolers are permitted inside the venue – regardless of hard or soft, or large or small.
Guests can bring their own food in sealed, clear Ziploc bags. You may also bring a sealed bottle of water, up to one gallon in size. Additional items – such as personal blankets – are also allowed.
Smoking Policy
Smoking in outdoor areas only. Smoking is NOT permitted inside, under cover or near the dining areas of restaurants and other establishments.
Guests may not smoke inside the venue. However, there are designated smoking areas dotted around – check with venue staff as these may change depending on the type of event.
Prohibited Items
Upon entry, guests may be searched by staff looking for prohibited items. It is every guest’s right to refuse this search, but that may result in being denied entry. The list of prohibited items at Shoreline Amphitheatre includes, but is not limited to, the following:
» Coolers, regardless of type or size
» Cameras with detachable lenses (some artists may prohibit all cameras)
» Alcohol, drugs, or controlled substances
» Video cameras and recording devices
» Laser pointers
» Artificial noisemakers
» Cans and bottles
» Fireworks
» Skateboards
» Frisbees
» Pets
» Aerosol cans
» Tape recorders
» Cooking equipment, including barbecues
» Large bags
» Chairs
» Strollers
» Weapons
» Binoculars
» Selfie sticks
» Recording equipment
» Musical instruments
» Stuffed animals
