Florence and The Machine at the Shoreline Amphitheatre
“The most peculiar and most highly acclaimed female singer of the moment” and “the latest in a line of great English pop eccentrics”– The Sunday Times, describing Florence Welch, lead vocals of Florence and The Machine.

English indie pop band Florence and the Machine took the world by storm with their mesmerizing, eccentric, dreamy-trippy pop sound that’s uniquely their own.  Their music is loosely described as rock and soul, yet band singer Florence Welch, aptly paints a picture of how affecting their music is:  ìI want my music to sound like throwing yourself out of a tree, or off a tall building, or as if youíre being sucked down into the ocean and you canít breathe… Itís something overwhelming and all-encompassing that fills you up, and youíre either going to explode with it, or youíre just going to disappear.îWow, imagine experiencing that in a live concert!

Their “Ceremonials” Tour is a spin-off from their album of the same title, which was released in October 2011.  The album debuted at number 1 on the UK charts, and at number 6 on the US charts.  Their debut album of 2009, “Lungs” held strong in the UK charts for a total of sixty five weeks.  Their music has also been part of American TV shows like Grey’s Anatomy, The Vampire Diaries, Nikita, So You Think You Can Dance, and Gossip Girls. They also invaded the big screen with soundtrack songs for the Twilight Saga: Eclipse  and Snow White and The Huntsman.

Florence and The Machine was highly supported by the BBC prior to their mainstream success.  The BBC was largely instrumental to their prominent rise to fame by featuring them on the show The BBC Introducing.  Florence and The Machine maintain their high street cred and strong indie following, but they have managed to crossover to the mainstream with their hit singles like  ”Dog Days Are Over,” Cosmic Love”, “You’ve Got The Love”, “Shake it Out”, and many more.

A mind-blowing concert like this is best experienced by getting the best view, the best seats in the house. Get your tickets early and secure your choice spot!
