Rebelution

Rebelution is an Isla Vista, California-based band that has always gone with their gut when it comes to their music since their breakthrough 2007 album, Courage To Grow. In 2017, they were nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album. Their incredible live performances have landed the band festival slots at Bonnaroo, Lolllapalooza, ACL, Glastonbury, and other venues in addition to sell-out headline dates everywhere from Red Rocks to The Greek Theatre. Their most recent album, In The Moment, is thoughtful and diverse, combining pop hooks, alt-rock grit, and hip-hop grooves with the quartet's soulful, thrilling style of modern reggae. The production is just as ambitious as the performances, which are audacious and confident.

Kolohe Kai

Formed in 2009, the band consists of Roman de Peralta, Jasmine Moikeha (vocals), Kolomona Ku (keyboard and saxophone), Luke Daddario (drummer), Imua Garza (guitar), and Kahale Morales (bass guitar).

Their sound has been described as Pacific Island reggae and Hawaiian-inflected reggae, combining "the localism of ukulele music with rhythms of roots reggae." Their more recent work has pop and R&B influences. Boyz II Men, Hawaiian reggae band Ekolu, and Fijian artist George Veikoso, also known as Fiji, have all been mentioned by De Peralta as influences. Reggae rock group Rebelution has also had an impact on Kolohe Kai.

Matisyahu

Matisyahu, who is well-known for fusing hip-hop beatboxing sounds with reggae, rock, and spiritual themes, made his breakthrough in 2005 with the Top 40 hit "King Without a Crown" in the US. Since 2004, he has put out seven studio albums, five live albums, two remix CDs, and two DVDs of live performances. Throughout his career, Matisyahu has collaborated with reggae producers Kool Kojak and Sly & Robbie in addition to Bill Laswell. He has made film appearances as an actor as well.

Cydeways

Cydeways is an alternative band led by Dustin Parks. Other members of the band include Kevin Harvey, Casey Kernohan, Daniel Kearney, Trevor Buckingham (producer/engineer), and Dana Shoults (co-producer). The band was founded in Boston, Massachusetts.

Law Records’ Yesod Williams says “I was podcasting Joe D. from Iration and he mentioned Cydeways to me. He’s friends with Dustin. After a little time, Hawaiian time that is, I finally reached out to Dustin. He sent me a track he had coincidentally done featuring another mutual friend in the Rhymesayers artists, Grieves, serendipity? I’d say so!”

DJ Mackle

DJ Mackle is a multi-talented music producer and disc jockey who is passionate about spreading joy and enthusiasm to the general public. He is currently sponsored by Hill Kid clothes and serves as the tour DJ for the California reggae band Rebelution. In addition, he founded the band Junkspace.
